Cool Timer : A Tool That Tool That Operates as Alarm Clock, Count Down Timer and Stop Watch.

Cool Timer can be used in three different modes, either as a countdown timer, as an alarm clock, or as a stopwatch.

In countdown mode, the program acts just like an oven timer. You can use it for cooking, excercise, taking a break, limiting kids' time on the computer, etc. The timer can be set for up to 100 hours and then sent to your System Tray or just minimized. It then pops up and plays any sound file or one of several built-in sounds that you specify when time expires. It can even optionally display a cool, LED light board style text message that you specify when time expires to remind you why you set the timer.

In wake mode, you set a specific time of day that you would like the alarm to go off. When it goes off, you can click the snooze button to automatically reset the alarm to go off ten minutes later to allow you to sleep a little longer. You can also optionally have the program display the custom scrolling text message when the alarm goes off.

You might use the program in stopwatch mode to keep track of how much time you spend on a project for which you're being paid by the hour or similar situations.

The program allows you to save and reload frequently used lengths of time or wake times as presets so that you can quickly and easily set time on the timer or the alarm clock without having to do it manually in countdown and wake mode.

Cool Timer's interface can be customized with several cool color schemes. You can also specify either small or really big mode for the program's window size in case you need to see it from across the room.

Note: You must have Microsoft Windows Media Player installed on your system to use MP3 files as an alarm.

RMVB Converter : An Application To Convert Real Media (RMVB) Files To Avi, DVD and Other Video Formats

The RMVB file format, standing for 'RealMedia Variable Bitrate', is a video format created by RealNetworks, Inc. It is a variable bitrate extension of the RealMedia multimedia container format. As opposed to the more common RealMedia container, which holds streaming media encoded at a constant bit rate, RMVB is typically used for multimedia content stored locally. Files using this format have the file extension ".rmvb".

The advantage is RMVB format abandons Average Bit Rate and use Variable Bit Rate to compress video data. RMVB files have become a popular format for movie titles because they have smaller file sizes and lower bitrate with better quality compared to DivX.

RMVB Converter is one free software developed by RMVBCodec.com, it can convert RealMedia (RM,RMVB) file to other popular video formats with high quality, it can support the almost all the RM/RMVB formats without installing RealPlayer, support only rip the audio data from RMVB video and convert to MP3 audio files, integrated all high speed decoders and encoders, this RMVB converter is free and easy to use.

RMVB Converter can convert RMVB video files to these video formats:
  • MP4 (MPEG4)
  • AVI (MPEG2)
  • DivX (Digital Video Express)

SuperbarMonitor : A Freeware For Monitoring Battery, CPU, Disk And Memory Status Of Computer

SuperbarMonitor is a handy small freeware portable application suite designed to offer you all of the info that you might need about your system ie lets you check battery usage, CPU usage, disk status and memory status of your netbook through the Taskbar.
The five applications that came in the ZIP archive are:
  • SuperbarMonitor Battery
  • SuperbarMonitor CPU

  • SuperbarMonitor Volume
The monitoring status is continuously displayed on the Taskbar. Normally any netbook by default displays the power and battery time remaining only. But with SuperbarMonitor Battery, along with the battery life and the charge time remaining, it also displays the discharge rate of the battery. Also, it shows the current battery charge and maximum battery charge. You can define the low and critical battery levels easily.

The disk status will show the current disk usage. The CPU monitor displays the current load on the CPU which is updated every second. This update interval can be changed easily. The memory status displays the current memory load. The volume control will help you to change the system volume level. The color of the icons present on the Taskbar changes if any of them crosses critical level.
