In my previous posts i posted a trick to hide a particular drive. This is same trick but with a different method. You can play this trick with your friends or anyone you want to have fun with or for you own privacy. When you click on My Computer no drives or a specific drive will be shown.
How to hide all the Drives:
===========================
1. Go to Start -> Run Type "regedit"
Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
2. Now in the right pane create a new DWORD item by right clicking -> New -> DWORD value and name it NoDrives. And modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal).
3. That's it ! Restart your Pc to take effect.
How to hide a Specific Drive:
=============================
For hiding a "Specific" or "Multiple Drive" use values (For example, for A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H drives,the values are 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, and 128 respectively).
For example: To hide D drive, you would type in the number "8"
How to hide Multiple Drives:
============================
For example: You want to hide drive D and drive E, you would type in the number 24 (which is 8 + 16).
Note: To enable the display of all the drives in My Computer, simply change the value of NoDrives to 0 or simply delete this DWORD item.
