Notepad X : A Powerful Tabbed Text Editor

Notepad X is a powerful, tabbed, open-source text editor that can successfully replace Windows’ Notepad. It features a tab document system so you can easily edit multiple documents in the same window. Other features include multi-level undo and redo, optional line numbers, and a Favorites menu to store links to frequently-accessed documents.

The software offers translations in various languages including Chinese, Greek, and Spanish. For programmers, the software supports syntax highlighters for a variety of languages including C#, Java, and PHP.

A few plug-ins are available including those that allow you to modify translation files and icon packs (these can be enabled via the "Tools" - "Options" menu, section "Plugins"). Configuration options include adjusting the font, configuring file extensions, and modifying keyboard shortcuts.

Windows’ default text editor that is Notepad is very handy for writing text but it is so simple and plain that it lacks many features that could have made it much better. But, Notepad X is quite small and is free to use. The tool is very simple to use and can be downloaded easily from the link provided.

Requirements:
· Net Framework 2.0
