How To Redirect Folder to Control Panel ?

Is your PC used by many people at home or office and you need to secure the data? You can secure it by redirecting a folder to some other location (like Control panel). You can apply this redirection to any folder containing important files and folders using Notepad. This helps protect contents of a folder by redirecting it some other location instead of open folder’s actual contents.

How To Redirect Folder to Control Panel

1. Select the folder for which you want to redirect. For example, consider folder mine in the F:\ drive

2. Open Notepad and write ren songs songs.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

3. Now save the file as LOCK.BAT in the same drive as your folder.

4. Again open Notepad and type ren songs.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} songs

5. Save the file as KEY.BAT in the same drive.

6. To lock the folder, double click on LOCK.BAT file and then you will not be able to access the folder. Control panel will open instead the folder.

7. To unlock the folder,double click on KEY.BAT file an again you can have access to that folder.

Now keep the LOCK.BAT and KEY.BAT file at a secure place so that you only know where is the key to that folder.
