Evolution and Future Of Apple Products.

It seems like Steve Jobs is thinking big now-a-days. A few years back, the release of iPhone was a great success and till now no other phone has killed it. Then, recently iPad came into being which seems nothing but a bigger version of iPod but still it has made a success in the market right from the beginning. So, the bigger the better?

Now the question is what’s next? As mentioned earlier, Steve jobs is thinking big. So, here is a clue to what we will have out of Apple in next 4 or 5 years. On the eve of 2012, Apple will produce an iBoard which will be as big as your standard 15 inch LCD monitor. I hope world wouldn't end late that year and in case it survives, Apple will release an iMat in 2014 which could be something you will use at your drawing room as an alternative to carpet; instead it will be more digital of course. What remains at Apple disposal is an idea to roll out an iPort supporting plane landings in a digital fashion. Surely, we are moving towards an all Apple era making our life digital. Wasn't life simple when Apple and Blackberry were just fruit?

Facebook has a number of features meant to enhance the networking experience for users, but the problem is that in developing many of these features Facebook continually chooses to implement them as a default setting, forcing users to have to opt-out of participation rather than allowing them to opt-in.

The new face recognition feature in Facebook can intelligently suggests the name of the friends for automatic picture tagging. The new feature is called Tag Suggestion where Facebook tries to automatically identify the faces in the uploaded photos based on the other photos where the people are tagged in. Therefore, you could be tagged by Facebook automatically when your friend uploads photos that contain your face in it.

Well, it might be a helpful feature to reduce the chore of photo tagging but here are the steps for you to disable Facebook’s facial recognition for your profile if you are not comfortable with this feature:
  • Login to Facebook.
  • Click at “Account” link from the top right corner and select “Account Settings” upon login.

  • Click “Customize Settings” link from the Privacy Settings page.

  • Click “Edit Settings” button from the “Suggest photos of me to friends” under the “Things others share” section.

  • Select “Disabled” from the dropdown menu from the popped up window.

FindFiles.net : A Website That Search for Downloadable Files Without File-Sharing Software.

The Web is full of files that you can use, but there’s no one place to download them all – be it a program, an MP3 or a PDF.. Not only is Google still a few steps behind in indexing all the downloadable files on the Web, but there is no way to filter your results to look purely for them. Thankfully, a new search engine called FindFiles is here to help you out.

FindFiles.net is a rapidly developing search engine for files of all types, operating its own crawler. FindFiles database currently contains links to 528,080,184 files. FindFiles supports all existing Mime Types (apart from standard html text-pages).

Well known examples are
♦ mp3 music and wav sound files
♦ midi musical instrument interfaces
♦ mp4, avi and quicktime videos
♦ jpeg, gif, png and tiff images
♦ Microsoft doc and Excel documents and exe executables
♦ pdf and plain text documents
♦ dwg AutoCAD and wrl virtual reality data files
♦ archives like zip, gzip and jar
♦ apps for smartphones like apk for Android and sis for Symbian
♦ epub electronic books

FindFiles provides you direct links (also denoted ′deep links′) to the files you are looking for. You may then download the desired file directly from the hosting server. FindFiles also provides you, for your convenience, with a link to the referring webpage.

FindFiles.net is a rapidly developing search engine that currently contains links to several hundred millions of files. The types include audio (MP3, WAV, MIDI), video (MP4, AVI), image (JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF), Doc, Excel, PDF, AutoCAD, archives (ZIP, RAR) and many more. All of the files come with direct links to where you can download them, thus making it an invaluable resource if you are searching for a textbook that you can’t find on Google or a rare song or ringtone that’s impossible to locate.

Twitter was produced in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey and launched in July. Since then Twitter has gained popularity worldwide and is estimated to have 200 million users, generating 190 million tweets a day and handling over 1.6 billion search queries per day. It is sometimes described as the "SMS of the Internet".

ResizR : An Easy Online Image Resizer

ResizR is a nifty, free and very useful little helper. ResizR allows you to resize an image from your local computer or the web.

Often you do not need more than just resizing an image on the fly. Before ResizR you required a desktop software to do this - heavy applications which can do much more than just resizing an image. ResizR changes the game - it's much easier. Select an image - choose the width - rotate optionally.

Follow These Instructions:

From your local computer:
Click on the "Browse" Button and choose an image you like to resize. Currently only JPG can be resized. Now you can set the width in pixels by dragging the slider or entering a value into the text field below the slider. Click "ResizR" to start the resizing process.

From Web:
With ResizR it's also possible to resize any images from the web. Click the "From Web" tab and paste the URL of the image. How to find the URL of the image? In some browsers you can just right click on the image and choose "Copy image location". Click "ResizR" to start the resizing process.

Rotate:
To rotate the image click on "Image rotation...". Choose the 0°, 90°, 180° or 270° icon. Rotation is clockwise.

Hint: Do not increase the size of an image. You can, but the results will probably not be satisfying. If you want to see the initial width, check the text above the resized image.

Note: Once an image has been uploaded it is available as a "From Web" image for any further actions so you don't need to upload it again!

IMPORTANT: All uploaded images will be deleted once per day.

FotoFlexer : The World's Most Advanced Online Image Editor

FotoFlexer offers an online photo editing application that provides users with advanced and fun features. FotoFlexer also allows users to upload and save edited photos to major photo sharing services like Flickr, Photobucket, MySpace, and Facebook. FotoFlexer has been chosen by Google as the image editor launch partner for the OpenSocial initiative, and has teamed with Atlantic Records to help launch new artists CDs.

As of March 2008, FotoFlexer became the embedded image editor for Photobucket. FotoFlexer is also the embedded image editor for TinyPic and Piczo, as well as the developer of a number of popular Facebook applications.

FotoFlexer has launched several technology innovations. It was the first company to launch a commercial seam-carving application, which appears to “magically” remove objects from photos. The company has filed 6 provisional patents for advanced technologies.

FotoFlexer is also applying its image-processing technical expertise on some large, (though confidential) initiatives which may fundamentally change the way people and companies use photos online.

Fotoflexer is quickly giving Picnik a run for the money in features. From the basics like rotate, resize, or crop images; flip, draw, erase, and fill; to the convenient re-color hair or skin with only three clicks; and the advanced animations. Once you upload a photo to the site, you'll see a simple interface complete yet it has power like automatic exposure correction, red eye removal, resizing and cropping. The program has a wide range of effects like blurred edges, grayscale and sepia conversion, and the ability to "cartoonify" your photos. Fotoflexer even has support for layers similar to commercial programs like Adobe. FotoFlexer seamlessly integrates its services with social networking sites; photos can be edited straight from Flickr, Photobucket, Facebook, MySpace, and more.

Some Important Things Every Blogger Need To Learn

To be a professional blogger isn’t as simple as waking up one morning and stating, “I am a blogger, look out world!” Like any other discipline, being a successful blogger means that you have to take the job seriously. That means working with dedication, planning and forethought. Here are ten things that every new blogger must know:
  • Don’t check web traffic obsessively if there isn't high traffic, don’t quit.
  • When you are beginning a new blog, there is always something to do: Write an article, add a WordPress feature, or add a new blogger template, implement techniques to get more subscribers. Always. There’s always something.
  • You put your audience first and you spend more time listening than talking. Don’t get stuck with someone else’s belief about word count, frequency of posts, and editorial calendars. Work your blog based on what feels right for you and your readers.
  • A lot of people look at big blogs and think they’re the holy grail. If only you had 100 subscribers. Then, once that threshold’s been crossed, if only you had 1000. Then 10000. Note that Small is beautiful.
  • One way you can start to attract a lot more participants to your community is to put yourself out there. Be authentic. Be transparent. Put plenty of you into your work. You have to put enough of yourself into your project so people can feel a connection with a real human being.
  • The secret to blogging lies in the writing. Be conversational, say exactly what you need to say, and be done. It may be 50 words or 500. No one will care if you write in a compelling and helpful style.
  • Invite your audience to get involved by asking for their feedback, experience, or opinion. Be sure to check your comments daily and respond to everyone. After all, no one likes to be ignored. Blogs are interactive, not static. Invite the dialogue.
  • Interesting visuals, pictures, and video snippets all add to the reader’s experience.

Useful Tips For Creating a Strong Password

Hackers have got very active lately and they’re always trying to get peoples’ accounts. They have various tools and software to help them guess passwords. A good password is both strong and memorable. Here are some tips to create one:
  • Go for length. Try to make sure that your password is not shorter than 12 characters. If an intruder is trying to use brute force method in cracking your password, which means his software has to try out every possible combination of keys, every single key in your password greatly increases the number of keys that he has to go through.
  • Avoid words that can be found in the dictionary. There are password-cracking softwares that use a dictionary for testing matches, and if you use a word that is in there, chances are your account if going to be intruded in less than a day.
  • Avoid using obvious or weak passwords. Aside from dictionary passwords, you should also avoid using the default ones such as password, admin, default, etc. As a general rule of thumb, a password should appear random to everyone but you, and not based on a pattern that can be understood by other people.
  • Don’t ever try to create passwords that identify yourself or relates to anything about you. That should be reserved for the username.
  • Maintain a habit of regularly changing your password. This means that even if an intruder tries to use the brute force method to guess at your password, your password would have been changed before he manages to succeed.
  • If you really need to maintain a written copy of your password, write it only in one piece of paper and keep it in a place where other important pieces of paper and plastic are kept – your wallet. Keep it secure the same way you would keep your credit card safe.
  • If you’re having trouble creating a password that is difficult to crack, use a strong password generator. This has the benefit of creating truly random password that doesn’t have any meaning or pattern to anyone, even the program that created it. You can also use either a desktop or online password managers, which can also act as automatic form fillers that will make your life easier in the long run.

Online Password Generator : Website That Generates Complex Passwords

Though a time-consuming process it is possible , by using brute force attack, to recover passwords, with the power of the computer’s main CPU. For example, an eight-character Windows Vista logon password is as strong as about 55 trillion possible passwords. Windows Vista uses NTLM hashing by default, so using a modern dual-core PC you could try up to 10 million passwords per second, and perform a complete analysis in about two months.

This small web application allows users to create random secure passwords that are difficult to guess because of the combination of lower and upper case letters, numbers and symbols.

Key Features :
# Passwords with up to 50 characters.
# Up to 5 generated passwords.
# Find the best combination of lowercase , uppercase and numbers passwords.
# Add extra security by using special characters.

An average person will have at least four different accounts that would require a password. This makes the issue of having a secure and strong password important. Unfortunately, the average person will prefer ease of use over security, which results in a lot of people using easily compromised passwords AND/OR a single password for several accounts. They cannot be faulted either, since it is usually too much trouble to maintain a lot of passwords, especially if they are safe passwords that are not easy to memorize. Some people try to counter this by using different strong passwords for every account, and then keeping a written record of every password – which is an even bigger security risk for obvious reasons. A good middle ground is to create one universal password for different accounts with different usernames, but making that password very hard to crack.

Trick To Run Multiple Skype Accounts On A Single Computer

If you have heard about multi-yahoo and multi-msn but haven’t heard about using multiple Skype accounts on a single computer than know this that Skype has given this facility. This is a great trick because sometimes you need to use more than one accounts on a single computer for multiple communications at the same time. This is valid for 4.0 version and later.

Follow these steps:
  1. Click Start > Run (or press the Windows and R keys on your keyboard at the same time)
  2. In the Run window, enter the following command (include the quotes) and press OK
  3. "C:Program FilesSkypePhoneSkype.exe" /secondary

If you get any error messages, please copy and paste the exact command from this post and try again. You may can get this error if you have changed the installation directory at the installation time.

Alternative Solution:
  1. Find the Skype executable file (Skype.exe) in: C:Program FilesSkypePhone
  2. Right click on it and choose: Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)
  3. Locate the shortcut on the desktop, then right-click on it and choose Properties
  4. In the Target field, add: /secondary. The Target field should now be: "C:Program FilesSkypePhoneSkype.exe" /secondary
  5. Click OK. You can now start a new instance of Skype every time you double-click on the new shortcut.

The above solution will make a second instance for future use, you won’t be given the first method’s command every time on RUN menu to open the second instance. You just double click the secondary instance from your desktop and it will up for you.

To make it more convenient and easy, you can put this shortcut in windows32 directory under window directory and use it a global short, for that copy this shortcut in windows32 directory. Enter the name of the shortcut in RUN menu and it will work.
