Google Books Downloader 2.5 : A Utility Tool for Downloading a Sample or Preview from Google Books Search

Google is one of the best sources of downloadable books on the Internet, allowing you to choose what you want to read from various sources and access them on your computer or on an E-reader. Google Books has always helped users discover and read out-of-copyright books online.

You can notice that there are two forms of Google Books:
(1) Google Books search engine, online reader
(2) Google Play Books store.

Here I would be talking about a utility tool named "Google Books Downloader" for Downloading a sample or preview from Google Books Search.

Google Book Search is a tool from Google that searches the full text of books that Google scans, converts to text using optical character recognition, and stores in its digital database. Many popular books are available with Google Book. The books available can be read online only and cannot be downloaded for later use. You can download certain books as png that allows public-domain works and are free from copyright protection. Only few books are available with full preview based on agreements with publishers.

Google Books Downloader 2.5 is a Light-weight, Freeware utility that lets out download any book that's available in "full view" from Google Books. Of course, most of these books also feature download links right on the web page, but Google Books Downloader lets you queue up multiple jobs and convert all of the downloaded books to PNG, JPEG, and PDF files with various resolutions as the option (Starting from 350 px to 1280 px).

The application allows you to print the entire book or specific parts such as illustrations and paragraphs. You can also easily extract quotes from the book. This small piece of software will only allow you to download books with "Full view" or "Preview" status. Basically the number of pages you can view/preview on the Google Books website is the number of pages/photos you are allowed to download on your computer. If the user chooses to download and save the book as .jpeg or .png files, every page in that book will be saved as a different photo on your computer.

The user is able to choose the file format of the downloaded book, the destination folder and the resolution, which is very important when you are saving the book as a series of images. The resolution will define the quality and clarity of your files.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD GOOGLE BOOKS?

Step 1: Download and install the Google Books Downloader from Here . Now open the application after installation. Here is the preview of the software.

Step 2:  In the Google search, find for your desired book that need to be previewed and download.

Step 3:  Click the desired book to preview it before downloading. You can see the book contents (Not all the pages in many of the books). Now you are ready to go for a download.

Step 4:  Copy the URL for the book you want to download. Open the preview in the Google Books search reader and then copy the URL.

Note: This tool will only download the pages that you can view in the Google Books website reader.

Step 5: Paste the URL into the "Google Book URL" box in Google Book Downloader.

Step 6: Select your output format (PDF, JPEG or PNG).

You can also select the resolution of your choice from the provided options.

Also there is an option where you want the book to be saved which can be set for the output folder. By default, it will be saved to your desktop.

Step 7: Click the "Start" button to begin downloading the book. This may take a little while if there are a lot of pages.

Step 8:  Click on OK button after the download is complete.

Note: The contents can be found on the path you have selected as an output folder.

Supports:
The application is available for Windows and requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

Syncing, Importing, and Organizing your Android Phone Contacts with Google Account

We are very much close friend with our GOOGLE isn't so? Then why not try to use more of it services along with our next best buddy ANDROID phones. Have you any idea that we can sync, import and organize all our android phone contacts with the Google account?

You can manage your Google contacts from within your Google account. This will save you from trying around on your mobile phone's keyboard to try to arrange, categorize, create, edit, and delete those contacts.

If you want the non-Google contacts that are already on your Android phone to be migrated to Google contacts, there is no way to do this directly on the phone; instead, you have to do an export/import. You have to export the contacts to a CSV file to your SD card and then import that file into Google.

The contacts on any Android phone can be created in three groups – SIM contact, Phone Contact and Google Account contact. If the new contacts are created in either of Phone or SIM, that cannot be synchronized with the Google account. For the contacts to be synced with the Google account, we need to create the contacts to save to Google account associated with the phone.

Steps:

(1) From the home screen, tap Contacts.
Note: If the shortcut is no longer on the home screen, tap Apps and tap Contacts.

(2) Tap the Menu key.

(3) Tap Import/Export.

 (4) Tap Export to SD Card

(5) Select OK to confirm

The contacts are now exported to a vCard (i.e. vcf) file in the SD card.

Once this is done, import the same vcf file back, but import should be done under your Google account.

(6) Open Contacts > Menu > Import / Export > Import from SD Card > Choose your Google account (with gmail.com)

Note: When importing contacts, if prompted, tap to select the desired account the contacts are to be imported into. Now, this has created all the contacts in your Google account on your phone, next step is to sync the same on actual Google account online. Make sure you are connected to internet.

(7) Go to Settings > Accounts and Sync > Manage accounts, click on your Google account (displayed with your gmail id) > Make sure Contacts is checked > Open Menu > Sync now.

Have Some Fun With Google, Gmail and YouTube

Many of us are aware of search engine giant "Google", email service "Gmail", and video-sharing website "YouTube". Today I am going to write about some of the fun we can do with Google, Gmail and YouTube. As there are lots of fun things we have done with Google and tried with various searches with google but here are some more funny things you probably haven't given a try once. Just try share it with your friends.

Fun with Google
Google has added some Easter eggs to its products and services. Check these out!
  1. Search "Do a barrel roll" or "z or r twice" on only Google and the screen will do a 360 spin.
  2. Searching for "askew" or "tilt" using Google will cause the search results to be displayed at a slight angle.
  3. Searching for "zerg rush" causes a bunch of Google "o"s to attack the result page and eventually destroy it but the user can fight back by clicking them. After destroying the results the "o"s then arrange themselves into two capital 'G's.
  4. Searching for "kerning" will increase the spacing between every letter in the word kerning by 1 pixel whenever it shows up in the search results page. Conversely, searching for "keming" (a common example of unfortunate kerning) will decrease the spacing between letters of the word when it shows up in the search results page.
  5. Type any actor's name followed by "bacon number" to get the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon value.
  6. Searching for "Recursion" will result in Google asking if the user meant "Recursion."
  7. Doing a Google Image search for "Atari Breakout" will launch a playable version of Breakout using the image results.
  8. Searching for "Binary", "Octal", or "Hexadecimal" converts the number of results to binary, octal, or hexadecimal, respectively.
  9. Searching for "Conway's Game of Life" produces the Life simulation described by Conway.
  10. Searching for "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood" produces a vocal response of another tongue twister "A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood"
  11. Searching for "Christmas" returns a blue, Christmas background.
  12. Searching for "Kwanzaa" returns a green, Kwanzaa background.
  13. Searching for "Festivus" places a Festivus pole in the left side of the window.
  14. Searching for "Santa Claus" or "Christmas decorations" places an animation of a snowy landscape with Santa Claus and his reindeer riding across the top of the search results. On Christmas Eve, a map will appear where Santa is currently located.
  15. Searching for "anagram" results in the search engine asking "Did you mean: nag a ram" ("nag a ram" is an anagram of the word "anagram")
  16. Searching for "Google in 1998" results in a 1998 Google search screen appearing in place of the current Google search screen. Clicking on the first result will bring the user to the Wayback Machine's version of Google from 1998. However, clicking I'm Feeling Lucky will go to a Mashable article about the easter egg.
  17. Searching for "Google Pacman" has a playable version of the game appear on the screen.
  18. Selecting the "I'm Feeling Lucky" without typing anything in, it will display past Google logos.
  19. In Chrome, Google's Web browser, entering "about:internets" into the address bar brings up a copy of the Windows Screen Saver 3D Pipes, with the title "Don't Clog the Tubes". In the event that this does not occur due to the fact that the screensaver file does not exist in the system, the browser will instead display a gray screen with the title "The Tubes are Clogged!" This has been removed as of the 2.0.169.1 release.

Fun with Gmail
  1. On Gmail, if the background is set to "Ninja" press SHIFT+CTRL+F1 and the ninja will send an automatic email saying 'Hello' to everyone in the user's contacts.
  2. You may already know this (I just found out myself) but Gmail supports plus-addressing. In other words, you can send an email to yourusername+anystring@gmail.com and it'll be delivered to yourusername@gmail.com. As it turns out, gmail also ignores any periods in the username so your.username@gmail.com will go to yourusername@gmail.com as will y.ou.ruserna.me@gmail.com.

Fun with YouTube
  1. Holding down the left and up arrow while pausing or watching a video caused a game of Snake to launch. This could also be done by pressing the right arrow instead of the left one. This was actually a result of two steps; pressing the up arrow while a video is loading launches the game, while pressing the left arrow forces the video to rewind and load momentarily, thus allowing the game to launch. Since the 2013 update, this no longer works, and now only works by pressing down while buffering instead.
  2. As of November 2013, searching for "doge meme" on YouTube, changes the font on the search result page to pastel color Comic Sans.
  3. If a user right clicks on a YouTube video it gives one of the options in the Context menu is "stats for nerds".
  4. If you click to the side of a video and type in "1980" and press enter, a game of missile command will begin. If too many meteoroids hit the bottom, the video will "break" and stop playing.
  5. Putting in the search box "do the harlem shake" will cause the page to do the Harlem Shake. It can be muted and paused.

How to Update Facebook Status From Google Plus?

Google plus is the newbie in the market of social networking site. It is gaining the popularity in high speed, surely a big threat to the Facebook, who is leading in the race of competition.

A new Web browser extension called Google+Facebook inserts Facebook's social network right into your Google+ stream view, accessible through a new "Facebook" button at the top of the page. Although fun, the extension does need some work, if we're being honest. Google+Facebook is pretty basic right now. All it does is display your News Feed within the Google Plus interface. But to like or comment on any item, you have to click the link "view this post on Facebook." There's also no access to other Facebook features like Games, Events, Profiles, Friend Requests or Photo Albums.

Follow these steps:
  • Install the plugin (Download Link is provided at the end of the post!!)
  • It will ask for permission for accessing basic information from Facebook. Just allow it!!
  • You will need to connect with the Facebook to activate Google + Facebook.

  • Restart Browser
  • Go to Google plus.
  • Connect with Facebook.Start updating.
  • Click on "Whats on your mind"
  • Enter your Status in the new Window

  • Share and you can see the status updated from Google plus in the Facebook page....It shows "via Googleplus"

Note: The Google+Facebook extension is currently supporting Chrome and Firefox only. Due to https:// security level issues with Internet Explorer, Google+Facebook does not support IE. We are working on a fix for that.

Most of the people wants Google plus. If anybody need please ask me. I have invitations.

Google +1 : Everything You Need to Know About it!

Google +1 is yet another attempt to make Google more social. It's Google's version of the Facebook "likes", a simple feature that's very powerful because it's part of a social network.

Google will show +1 buttons next to all search results and ads, while encouraging other sites to include the buttons. All +1's are public and they're tied to Google Profiles. The goal is to use this data to personalize search results and ads by recommending sites +1'd by your friends. Google Social Search already does this, but there's no support for Facebook likes, so Google had to come up with a substitute.

Sometimes it’s easier to find exactly what you’re looking for when someone you know already found it. Get recommendations for the things that interest you, right when you want them, in your search results.

The next time you’re trying to remember that bed and breakfast your buddy was raving about, or find a great charity to support, a +1 could help you out. Just make sure you're signed in to your Google Account.

In order to +1 things, you first need a public Google profile. This helps people see who recommended that tasty recipe or great campsite. When you create a profile, it's visible to anyone and connections with your email address can easily find it.

Your +1’s are stored in a new tab on your Google profile. You can show your +1’s tab to the world, or keep it private and just use it to personally manage the ever-expanding record of things you love around the web.

The +1 button is shorthand for "this is pretty cool" or "you should check this out."

Click +1 to publicly give something your stamp of approval. Your +1's can help friends, contacts, and others on the web find the best stuff when they search.

Google Books Downloader : A Tool That Downloads Google Books to PDF and JPG

Google has announced the launch of its new service; Google Books. Currently, you can purchase books (U.S. only) or download more than 3 million free books from anywhere in the world using this service.

As announced by Google, the aim of this project is to provide users with their own bookshelf on hand, no matter where they are. Purchased or downloaded books can be read using a desktop browser, as well as through mobile devices based on the Android operating system or iOS. Additionally, the books can be read on any e-reader with Adobe Digital Editions software.

As opposed to the Picasa service which provides an access to photos, the Google Books service does not allow users to download free electronic editions without digital copy protection and use them on other devices. Google Books Downloader is a little software that allows you to save these books in PDF or JPEG format (note: it supports only the books marked as "full view").

Get Rank in Google First 10

Basically all you are doing is adding one line of code to your .htaccess file.

The short sweet and simple method....

1.) Paste this line of code in your .htaccess file

Redirect 301 /index.html http://www.google.com

And your done! Notice that your homepage will now suddenly redirect to Google, but all other pages will still work fine. After the next Google PR update, remove that line of code in your .htacess file, and if you look at that page it will have a PR 10!

::::Commonly Asked Questions!::::

Q.) How do I make A certain page other than my homepage have a pr10?
A.) Simply edit the 1 line of code to show the page you want to have the page rank 10. Let's say you want your links page to have an instant pr10, you would use this line of code in your .htaccess file. Redirect 301 /links.html http://www.google.com

Q.) How do I customize the instant page rank that I receive? For example I want my website to have a page rank of 9...8...7...or 6 to make it look less obvious that the site used blackhat seo
A.) Simply change the url of the destination url in the code. For example..

If you want an instant page rank 9 domain use this code..
Redirect 301 /index.html http://my.yahoo.com/

If you want an instant page rank 8 domain use this code...
Redirect 301 /index.html Web hosting, domain names and web design services by FortuneCity

If you want an instant page rank 7 domain use this code...
Redirect 301 /index.html Netfirms - Web Hosting, Domain Names and E-commerce for Small Business

Basically look at the site that you put into the code and you will receive the exact same page rank as that website during the next pr update

Google Search Calculator ... Amazing

Amazing thing i noticed yesterday, most of you may already know it.

Google search box is not only the search engine but a calculator too.

Just put an equation like 4*3+1-4+2*4 into the search box and see the result.

It detects an equation and resolves it first before going to the web-wide search..

I really appreciate the Google ideas and efforts!!
