CloseAll : A Tool To Close All Opened Applications At Once

CloseAll program can terminate all the currently opened windows and applications at once. This program lets you close all running applications with just a single click.
It doesn’t use system resources because it only flashes a ‘close’ signal to all open applications on the desktop and then ceases. Just create a shortcut to the tool in the Start Menu, Quick Launch, Windows 7 Taskbar or elsewhere.

You can always add a hotkey to this shortcut. It is really very handy if you are running ~20 applications and want them all to quit instantly. It works just as if you were pressing the close button for each application.

How To Enable Copy Paste in Command Prompt ??

Have you noticed in Windows command prompt that you can’t paste anything into the window using the keyboard easily but requires mouse to do so. Here’s how to fix that problem.

What you’ll have to do is use the Alt+Space keyboard combination to bring up the window menu, then hit the E key, and then the P key. This will trigger the menus and paste into the console.

The next solution for this irritating problem is to use a quick AutoHotkey script to enable pasting from the keyboard.

Follow these Steps:

1. Download and Install the AutoHotKey from HERE.

2. Create a new AutoHotkey script or add the following to your existing script

3. This script uses the data copied in the clipboard to send it to the command prompt.

Note: The script doesn’t paste line breaks very well.

DevManView : An Alternative Tool To Device Manager Of Windows

DevManView is an alternative to the standard Device Manager of Windows, which displays all devices and their properties in flat table, instead of tree viewer. In addition to displaying the devices of your local computer, DevManView also allows you view the devices list of another computer on your network, as long as you have administrator access rights to this computer.

DevManView can also load the devices list from external instance of Windows and disable unwanted devices. This feature can be useful if you have Windows operating system with booting problems, and you want to disable the problematic device.

DevManView doesn't require any installation process or additional dll files. In order to start using it, simply run the executable file - DevManView.exe

After running DevManView, the main window displays the list of all devices found in your system. By default, non-plug and play drivers (LegacyDriver) are not displayed, but you can add them by selecting the 'Show Non-Plug And Play Drivers' in the Options menu.

You can now select one or more than devices from the list, and then save their details into text/html/xml/csv file (Ctrl+S) or copy them to the clipboard (Ctrl+C) and then paste the data to Excel or other spreadsheet application.

DevManView also allows you to disable, enable, and uninstall the selected devices. However, you must be very careful when using the disable/uninstall options, because disabling or uninstalling an essential device might cause troubles to your operating system.

DevManView works on any version of Windows, starting from Windows 2000 and up to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. For x64 version of Windows, you should download the x64 version of DevManView, because the 32-bit version of DevManView cannot disable/enable devices on x64 operating system.

GifSplitter : A Tool To Break GIF Animation Down Into Individual Image Frames

Now you can split or break the single GIF animated image into different images to have that desired image of your own. There are many ways to do this but the easiest and fast way of splitting the GIF image into several single images is using this free tool called GifSplitter.

GifSplitter from XoYo Software does exactly what it says it does and no more: it splits animated GIFs into separate frames and saves those frames to bitmap files. The user interface dispenses with the bells and whistles to make it easy to get in, get out, and get done. It takes up practically no memory, runs right out of the zip file, has no special requirements, and overall simplifies a sometimes-annoying task of using a more complicated animation program to extract a frame here and there for static image use.

When considered in the light of its only intended purpose, GifSplitter is perfect - minimalism at its best. It circumvents pretty graphical user interfaces and unnecessary features to allow image extraction from animated GIFs in less than a minute. While it may not be a rich, full-featured application, it does what it does and it does it well.

Pros
Loads on unzip; no install required.
Does its job quickly and cleanly.
Good for quick image extraction.

Cons
Less a "splitter" than a "decompiler."
Doesn't allow image quality previews.
Doesn't allow different image formats.

How To Prevent Cyclic Redundancy Check Error in Windows ?

Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is an error message that appears on the computer screen whenever your PC reads corrupt data. CRC, basically detects an error in the file that is being read by your PC. This error message commonly occurs when your PC attempts to read data from a damaged storage media, such as a hard drive, CD or a DVD. When data is being transferred to the PC, cyclic redundancy check ensures that data with numerous errors does not reach the specified destination. This is the reason why a corrupted CD does not get copied onto your computer.

A file that is not properly downloaded from the Web or an interrupted file transfer can also lead to CRC errors. So before you open the file, check whether it has been downloaded completely. You can use a download manager while downloading to fix cyclic redundancy check error. A download manager application keeps a track on the downloading process and informs you when it is complete. Or else, you can again attempt to download from the start and check whether it still occurs.

In case you are copying the file from your hard drive, you may have to run a scan disk program to troubleshoot errors related to the hard drive. Defective connections between the computer and the hard drive causes popping up of CRC message on the screen. For fixing CRC errors related to networking issues, you need to verify all the connections to decode the problem.

Cyclic redundancy check error can appear due to other reasons too. Although a failing drive or a damaged CD are the common culprits behind the occurrence of this error, some other unavoidable circumstances listed below may cause this problem.
  • Incomplete downloads
  • System crash
  • Buggy software (applications with plenty of bugs)
In such cases, the system may display messages like 'An invalid Windows file or an invalid win32 application'. But it is actually a CRC error.

If the problem is CD related, then cleaning it can solve the CRC error but if it the same case with most disks, then it must be your hardware issue. Another cause of the problem might be the discs that were burnt poorly (with several buffer under runs).

But if the problem is due to internal damage, then you need to download Jfile Recovery software which is the right choice to correct CRC errors. Please note that you have to have Java on your system if you want to use the Jfile recovery. Its results are immediate and free!

AnalogX Cache Booster : A Tool To Allocate Higher Cache Memory In Windows

It's a pretty safe bet that everyone wants to squeeze every ounce of performance out of their machine, whether it's the lastest and greatest one million mhz superchip or an 8088. Two of the bigger bottlenecks are harddisk performance and memory management; we've already covered memory management with MaxMem, so how about harddisk.

AnalogX CacheBooster allows you to tweak your harddisk caching to help achieve the best possible performance from your system. Of course, different types of programs require different settings - CacheBooster comes configured with many of the most common uses which will automatically reconfigure themselves for your system, plus you can even add your own custom configurations!

To see your system current Cache Memory Allocation from the Cache Settings drop down select “Current Settings”.It also comes with 8 Cache Settings ie., default modes for various common tasks like, CD Burning, Gaming, Multimedia, Power User, File Server, Digital Audio/Video and Bare Minimum which have different memory allocations based on the needs.

Select the Cache Settings and click “Apply Changes” to apply changes, But for the changes to take effect the system needs to be restarted.Modes can also be changes easily by right clicking the Cache Booster Tray Icon, and selecting the Cache Settings. Each Cache can also be individually made inactive by unchecking the “Active” checkbox for the respective Cache.

Cool Timer : A Tool That Tool That Operates as Alarm Clock, Count Down Timer and Stop Watch.

Cool Timer can be used in three different modes, either as a countdown timer, as an alarm clock, or as a stopwatch.

In countdown mode, the program acts just like an oven timer. You can use it for cooking, excercise, taking a break, limiting kids' time on the computer, etc. The timer can be set for up to 100 hours and then sent to your System Tray or just minimized. It then pops up and plays any sound file or one of several built-in sounds that you specify when time expires. It can even optionally display a cool, LED light board style text message that you specify when time expires to remind you why you set the timer.

In wake mode, you set a specific time of day that you would like the alarm to go off. When it goes off, you can click the snooze button to automatically reset the alarm to go off ten minutes later to allow you to sleep a little longer. You can also optionally have the program display the custom scrolling text message when the alarm goes off.

You might use the program in stopwatch mode to keep track of how much time you spend on a project for which you're being paid by the hour or similar situations.

The program allows you to save and reload frequently used lengths of time or wake times as presets so that you can quickly and easily set time on the timer or the alarm clock without having to do it manually in countdown and wake mode.

Cool Timer's interface can be customized with several cool color schemes. You can also specify either small or really big mode for the program's window size in case you need to see it from across the room.

Note: You must have Microsoft Windows Media Player installed on your system to use MP3 files as an alarm.

RMVB Converter : An Application To Convert Real Media (RMVB) Files To Avi, DVD and Other Video Formats

The RMVB file format, standing for 'RealMedia Variable Bitrate', is a video format created by RealNetworks, Inc. It is a variable bitrate extension of the RealMedia multimedia container format. As opposed to the more common RealMedia container, which holds streaming media encoded at a constant bit rate, RMVB is typically used for multimedia content stored locally. Files using this format have the file extension ".rmvb".

The advantage is RMVB format abandons Average Bit Rate and use Variable Bit Rate to compress video data. RMVB files have become a popular format for movie titles because they have smaller file sizes and lower bitrate with better quality compared to DivX.

RMVB Converter is one free software developed by RMVBCodec.com, it can convert RealMedia (RM,RMVB) file to other popular video formats with high quality, it can support the almost all the RM/RMVB formats without installing RealPlayer, support only rip the audio data from RMVB video and convert to MP3 audio files, integrated all high speed decoders and encoders, this RMVB converter is free and easy to use.

RMVB Converter can convert RMVB video files to these video formats:
  • MP4 (MPEG4)
  • AVI (MPEG2)
  • DivX (Digital Video Express)
  • Xvid
  • H.264/AVC
  • WMV (Windows Media Video)
  • WMV (Format for Xbox 360 requires)
  • FLV (Flash Video)
  • MP4 (Format for Sony PSP requires)
  • MOV (QuickTime)
  • 3GP (Mobile Phone)
